Salary: £31,049 - £37,796 per annum

Location: Searle House, Dryden Road, Exeter, EX2 5JJ, with the opportunity for hybrid working

Do you have a way with words, a nose for a story, the urge to make a positive difference in the world, and the ability to work at pace? If ‘yes’, our friendly marcomms team would love to hear from you.

Hospiscare is looking for an experienced and creative Communications Officer to join our team from December 2025/January 2026 to January 2027 on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months.

As the Communications Officer, you will hold our press plan and media relations, hunt out stories to raise our profile and engage stakeholders, and deliver integrated communications campaigns to support the hospice. This is a creative and wide-ranging role, working in a small and friendly marketing and communications team for a respected local charity.

You’ll work closely with colleagues, fundraisers, our patients and those close to them. As well as being able to spot and tell a story, you’ll have strong experience of writing for a range of audiences, brand communications, PR/media relations, and campaign planning.

We offer a collaborative and creative work environment, the freedom to try new things and make a real difference in our community, a competitive salary and a benefits package that includes a generous holiday allowance, employee assistance and wellbeing programmes, pension provision, flexible working, and free on-site parking.
